Butter Flavor
In 2015, IFS developed a butter flavor for flour tortillas that improves the overall flavor quality of the tortilla. Sometimes, tortilla companies would add 1 LB of margarine per 100 lbs of flour, and the main purpose would be to get a butter flavor in the flour tortilla. IFS developed a butter flavor that can get the same great flavor by only using one ounce to 100 lbs of flour instead of 1 pound. This saved money and was much easier than adding a pound of margarine.
